I'm J. Michael, and my musical odyssey commenced in a remote community, Apromase, nestled within the Ejisu Juabeng district of Ghana's Ashanti Region. In everyday life, I go by Michael Amankwah, and my artistic journey unfolded alongside my older brother, Isaac.

The enchantment of hip-hop captivated me when I stumbled upon a mesmerizing track list on Isaac's MP3 player—a pivotal moment that marked the genesis of my musical destiny. I vividly recall, at around 11 years old, it was my first exposure to the world of songs through an MP3 player and even an mp3 player itself. With Isaac's guidance, I eagerly began crafting songs, and by sixth grade, I was navigating the creative landscape independently, penning my own singles.

My lyrical inspiration finds its roots in socially relevant issues, sculpted by the mood of the moment. While hip-hop dominates my musical core, my versatility effortlessly extends to Afrobeats, R&B, Dancehall, Pop, and beyond. It's about the inspiring beat and narrative, transcending genre boundaries to craft something uniquely my own.

Within the realm of my musical melodies, the standout piece is the remarkable 24-singles album titled "Genesis," featuring 19 released singles and a treasure trove of unreleased tracks. Collaborations and solo ventures mark my musical odyssey, with performances eagerly awaiting their moment in the spotlight.

As I embark on the forthcoming chapters titled "Exodus" and "Numbers," set for release in August 2024 and 2025 respectively, the anticipation builds for an immersive musical experience.

Beyond the beats, my art draws profound inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of Ghana and beyond. Westernization has profoundly influenced my musical career, shaping me into the artistic guru I am today. I delve into a spectrum of topics—from current affairs to the behavioral repercussions of men, especially those with adverse responses.

Away from the mic, I'm an avid traveler with a passion for exploring diverse cultures, engaging in intelligent conversations, and embracing new experiences. My interests span wide—from technology and computing to language learning (currently mastering French) and aspiring to play the piano. I firmly believe in the transformative power of education, fueled by love and passion. Of all these interests the most exhilarating is the time spent in the studio crafting hit songs with my talented engineers.

Looking ahead, my future prospects involve breaking attendance records at shows and clinching multiple awards, including Song of the Year, Artist of the Year, Album of the year, Performer of the Year and Rap Artist of the Year. Collaborations with great engineers and artists, as well as winning multiple Grammy Awards, are part of my aspirations.
